National Park "Hristo Botev"

I have already told you about some amazing places around Vratsa like the Vratsa's EcoRoad, the Skaklia waterfall and the God's Bridge. Now I would like to tell you about Okolchitsa.

Situated on 20 kilometers from Vratsa, in the Vratsa Mountain, Okolchitsa is one of The Hundred National Tourist Sites.

Every year a lot of people are joining the national campaign called "In the footsteps of Botev". The campaign has been conducted every year since 1946. The participants march along the way of Botev from Kozloduy to Okolchitsa.

On 2nd June - The Day of Botev, at 12 o'clock sirens across the country are playing for two minutes. When we hear them, we are stopping in stillness acknowledging those, who died for the freedom of Bulgaria.

In the rest of the time Okolchitsa is very quiet and peaceful location where you can spend a very nice time. You will be amazed by the view from the hill and the surrounding nature.
